Château La Gineste Rosé
16€ per bottle (0,75l), 21,34€/l
Terroir:
The Rosé of la Gineste grows on matured vines, which are cultivated by hand throughout the year.
The Terroir is the second terrace of the Cahors. This soil is rich in white and grey limestone and Clay.
Vinification:
The Rosé is being pressed after the harvest and after that put into Vats where it is chilled down to a crisp 4-6°C. After a few days we transfer it into a new vat, in which we vinify it at a temperature of 14-16°C. Once the vinification is finished, we store it in vats and bottle it in February.
Composition:
85% Malbec and 15% Merlot
Taste:
The Rosé of la Gineste has the distinct flavour of the grapes it is sourced from. Because we harvest the grapes for the Rosé a little bit earlier than the ones for our red wines, we achieve a beautifully refreshing fruitiness and acidity.
